ESI Visual-Environment 12.0 continuously expands its collection of tools supporting Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) simulation across multiple CAE domains from meshing, pre/post processing, and reporting, to automating CAE processes, workflows and simulation data and content management. This platform enables users to work smoothly in one simulation environment across ESI product lines and thus in different CAE domains.

Release Highlights:

• Usability updates across the platform to improve user experience (CATIA Mouse scheme, Visual-Mesh, Visual-Viewer, Visual-Process, VisualDSS, etc)
• Support for new versions of CAD formats (PARASOLID versions up to 28.0.159, ACIS up to 2016 1.0, AutoCAD (DXF/DWG) up to 2016 (Windows only), Inventor versions up to 2016 (Windows only) and Solid Edge versions up to ST8 (Windows only).
• A predictive simulation chain to verify and validate welding quality and product performances with support for virtual control of tolerances in Visual-Assembly.
• Spot Weld mesh generator and Spot Welding advisor in Visual-Weld to enable quick model setup, solution and viewing of results of Resistance spot welding scenario.
• Specific workflow for gravity casting processes in Visual-Cast.
• Contact Checker in Visual-Crash PAM to help identify overlapping master-slave pairs in a contact.
• Design of Experiments (DOE), Composite display and Part Replace in Visual-RTM.
• ERF FEMZIP import, Surface data visualization for 2D and 3D, Measure of Draw-In, support of multi and table annotations among other updates in Visual-Viewer
