概要

A numerical description of gas dynamics within airbags is essential for the successful simulation of Out-Of-Position load cases, of lateral airbags, and of the opening behavior of protective covers. The Finite Point Method (FPM) is a CFD technology, developed by ESI Group. The theoretical overview of this technology is followed by a presentation of the relevant parameters, requirements, and the conversion of data records to FPM.
