CEM One supports engineers and electromagnetic experts in Full Virtual Testing of large industrial models over a wide frequency spectrum, ranging from radio up to millimeter waves. Featuring all major simulation techniques within Visual-CEM, a dedicated user environment, the package offers unique coupling and chaining capabilities, allowing complex electromagnetic phenomena to be handled within complete scenarios. The scope of CEM One application ranges from antennas integration and placement onboard large platforms, phased array antennas, EMC/EMI issues (Electromagnetic Compatibility and Interference) and related effects along cable networks to High Frequency scattering. When targeting physics-based simulation of automotive radar sensors, CEM One brings significant benefit in the virtual testing of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Vehicles (AD): optimized sensor integration avoiding the usual trial-and-error process, direct access to the radiation performance in both near and far zones, realistic signature of nearby vehicles and other obstacles.

Release Highlights of ESI CEM One 2019

  • Full CEM-FD support for large array antennas operating in the so-called end-fire mode such as Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar devices.
  • Thin Wire modelling within the CEM-TD solver gathering standard (staircased) formalism and more advanced techniques for arbitrarily oriented wired structures.
  • V2019.0 FEM solver provided with MUMPS support (SMP, DMP and hybrid) while Intel MKL PARDISO support is limited to shared memory through ELS.
  • Consolidated CEM-HF accuracy and signal reflected back to emitters located behind plastic slabs (crossed twice after reflection on nearby obstacles).
