VSS AUTO Trim Manufacturing


Description

Use Trim Manufacturing to retrieve the resulting strains and stresses as input for further simulations in the simulation chain and increase accuracy.

Compute, with Trim Adviser, the necessary cover patterns and foam shape so the seat is, after assembly, as close as possible to the targeted Seat Trim Outline.

Simulate, with Trim Assembly, the cover patterns sewing onto the foam, in order to check possible wrinkles in the cover and bridging gap with the foam.

• Introduction to the Virtual Seat Solution
• Use of the Trim Adviser tool to compute the cover patterns from the cover STO and the foam overbuild. Computation of the equilibrium shape and resulting manufacturing stresses.
• Use of the Trim Adviser tool to compress the foam overbuild inside the cover STO and computation of the equilibrium shape and resulting manufacturing stresses.
• Definition of the cover patterns assembly to the foam and to the frame. Wrinkle and bridging gap prediction.
