CEM One - Getting started in time domain

Description:

Getting started with PAM-CEM/FD – an efficient, fast and predictive solution for the analysis of complex electromagnetic problems occurring with fully realistic models. After the overview of the CEM One package, the training session starts with the product review, the related methodology and the complete demonstration of the numerical process through various application cases: CAD data management, with dedicated modelling and FD meshing stages (Visual Environment), wired structures (antennas and cable networks) and 3D/MTL coupling procedures, loading and exciting conditions, near radiated fields and 3D/3D coupling process for very high frequency applications. Realistic examples of industrial applications are used throughout this course designed for try-out experts in electromagnetics, EMC engineers and specialists.

Basic knowledge of the Finite-Difference Time-Domain (FDTD) technique

  • Background: 3D FDTD formalism
  • Overview of the Computational Process & Visual Environment (Visual-CEM)
  • Pre-processing stage and 3D mesh generation
  • PAM-CEM/FD computations
  • Post-processing (generic & dedicated features)
  • Typical industrial applications with Q&A sessions
  • User-defined examples (2 additional days)
