ESI SYSWELD 2016: From weld quality to body manufacturing & distortion engineering, this Virtual Welding & Assembly Suite offers a unique computer-aided assessment of material characteristics, residual stresses and distortions by taking into account all the multi-physics that is involved in Welding, Heat Treatment and Assembly manufacturing processes.
This version includes:
- Visual Weld 11.5 + SYSWELD Solver 2016.0 for Welding simulation
- Visual HT 11.5 + SYSWELD Solver 2016.0 for Heat Treatment simulation
- Visual Assembly 11.5 for Assembly simulation (complete chaining from stamping to pre-position to holding to welding to performance)
Virtual Assembly Solver 2015.1, which works together with Visual Assembly 11.5, has been released in SYSWELD 2015.1, it is not included again in this delivery.
Weld Planner 5.0 is in the maintenance mode. All its functionalities will be migrated to Visual Assembly 12.0
Highlights of this release:
- CAD 2 MESH: New dedicated automatic meshing tool to reduce the time to create the finite element model from CAD.
- Material Management: Major improvements are done in material editor tool to support and manage all the material properties needed for welding and heat treatment.
- Weld and HT new functionalities: Enhancements to facilitate the model set up such as heat source fitting tool, thermal and mechanical contact management, mapping engine, restart computation from any weld and HT, reduction of out file size, spot welding, fiction stir welding …
- Assembly: The integration of Visual Assembly solves the need for a predictive Stamp-Weld-Assembly simulation chain to control and validate the distortions and product performance by taking into account the manufacturing effects upfront in the design process. The following developments are done:
- Prepositioning Advisor: Starting from stamp deformed parts, user is able to preposition the deformed parts inside the reference point system.
- Holding Advisor: User can define clamps and hold the parts together and close the gap.
- User will then export the deformed assembly, update the model for welding and transport the data to perform the welding/joining simulation within Visual Weld or Weld Planner. Please note that all the weld planner functionalities will be fully migrated to Visual Assembly 12.0
- Finally, user easily obtain the complete stress and material characteristic to continue the simulation for durability and performance analysis.
