Modular material enables getting rid of the material cards’ dependency to the mesh type (2D or 3D elements), and introduces flexibility in material definitions. The material can be built up by adding required blocks (for example, for elastic properties, hardening, etc.). The part definition is moved to ‘Modular Part (MPART /)’. All numerical parameters are moved to ‘Numerical Parameters (NUMPAR/)’.
In this tutorial, we will see how to build a model using modular materials starting with the mesh.
