The VTL report warnings : damping for wavefield Source/Receiver is zero - what does it mean?
The VTL often report warnings like :
Warning: damping for wavefield Source is zero
Warning: damping for wavefield Receiver is zero
One would expect a ribbed plate to radiate less noise as compared to a normal plate with no ribs. But when I analyse a box with ribbed plates, it radiates more sound as compared to a box with normal plates. Why?
Hybrid transmission loss provides an efficient way of predicting the transmission loss of a complex panel modeled in FE Structure. The main advantage is provided by the SIF and its capability to connect with FE subsystems (i.e. no modeling of the acoustic field with FE acoustics is required). How is this calculated?
