SimulationX
4.1
22 Sep 2020
ESI’s SimulationX® provides you with state-of-the-art technology in physical system simulation. It can be used in many engineering fields, because it is based on the concept of a unique platform for modeling and analysis of dynamic system behavior.
It allows you to fully analyze the interaction between parts, components or assemblies (subsystems) of your system. Determine which parameters have the greatest influence on the behavior to be improved and design new concepts.
Based on the open model description language Modelica®, SimulationX comes with many predefined model libraries that can be used out-of-the-box. But you can also extend SimulationX with your own application-specific libraries or integrate SimulationX into your CAE world via interfaces such as FMI®, Executable Models or one of our many XiL interfaces.
Highlights of this release
System Reliability and Safety Analyses
- Based on automatically generated variant study generations and classified system fault extensions, the new analysis tools lets you find out how manufacturing deviations, assembly errors, material deviations, wear and aging can contribute to progressive or sudden failure of your system or which combination or limits must be prevented or not exceeded in real operation.
New Applications and Analyses
- Integration of Python as generic scripting engine plus many new easy-to-use pre- and post-processing tools for vibration analyses and more
- Interactive E-Learning which helps you and your colleagues to get up to speed with SimulationX wherever and whenever you like.
- Integrate Economic Analyses into your system simulation, e.g. to extend energy or material flow analysis tasks.
- Create real clocked control systems based on the final implementation of the Modelica® Synchronous technology. Now all solvers in SimulationX support this technology.
- Improved models for 3D vehicle simulations in driving maneuvers for drive control developments
Releases Notes
- Hydraulic valve models with KV or CV description now allow for faster and more stable calculations
- The entire documentation of Green City has been updated and is now available online.
- Hydraulic ball and globe valve models now also support seats with conically shaped edges
- The Modelica compiler can now also use the start attribute to determine the dimension of components
- Easy borrowing FlexNet network licenses
- Supports of the C-Compiler from Visual Studio™ 2019
