VA One 2023.5

The VA One 2023.5 release has several key enhancements especially related to model organization and creation of SEA models from FE geometry.  Of special note are the ability to plot and export custom user-defined contour plots, move a sectioning plane to a selected node, and use an encryption feature to protect confidential material properties.

Highlights of this release:

General and Model Organization

• Plot and export custom contour plots

• Encryption option to suppress confidential material properties
• Assign random colors to imported properties
• Control size of Double Wall junction using slides in 3D window controls
• Performance improvement copying large amounts of results from plot

SEA Modeling

• Move sectioning plane in any orientation to selected node
• Shells created by "Find Planar Regions" retain (FE) physical property info
• Performance improvements line junction calculation
• Performance improvements tolerant point junction creation for large models

FE / BEM Modeling

• Free edges visible only on the selected FE face(s)
• VA One reads point masses and material properties from VPS (*.PC) files with equivalent support to NASTRAN
• Improved ABAQUS converter
• Improved menu options for importing and using modal results and modal damping

Load Cases

• Added Load Case Solving for Ray Tracing
• GRID VA One supports load cases
