Visual-Environment
13.5
5 Dec 2017

ESI Visual-Environment 13.5 continuously expands its modules supporting Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) simulation across multiple CAE domains – from meshing, pre/post processing, and reporting, to automating CAE processes, workflows and simulation data and content management. Visual-Environment makes it possible for you and customers to work with all ESI products in one simulation environment and thus in different CAE domains.

Release Highlights:

  • Evolution of the environment in line with updates in the various solvers supported by Visual-Environment.
  • Visual-Composer provides an automatic identification mechanism to associate mesh to CAD based on COG.
  • Introduction of Die Spray modeling in Visual-Cast.
  • New capabilities for optimization (access to tables, access to QuikCAST).
  • Shelling based on curvature in Visual-Mesh (Cast).
  • Support for aero vibro-acoustics simulations in Visual-CFD.
  • Improvements in Windfarm workflow and Parametric analysis feature in Visual-CEM.
  • New Card Image GUI and Search Tools for better usability in Visual-Crash PAM.
  • New Seat Positioner for Safety in Visual-Safe.
  • New Tools to automatically setup Chaining between simulations related to Virtual Performance Solution (VPS).
  • Access to LS-DYNA reference manual, facilitating easy definition of solver input in Visual-Crash DYNA.
  • Completely redesigned Advanced Seat Positioner in Visual-Crash DYNA.
  • Mechanical contact support in Visual-Distortion.
  • RCC-M/ASME manager for regulatory analyses in Visual-SYSTUS.
  • Frame to Frame Transformation option is introduced in Visual-Assembly which supports geometrical positioning of components before Pre-Positioning simulation into the reference point system (RPS).
  • The spot weld manager in Visual-Assembly enables updating the mesh for spot weld assembly simulation purposes and assign the spot welding location based on the CAD model of different components.
  • Thermal and Mechanical coupling of thermo-metallurgical and mechanical computations is supported in Visual-Weld which brings the prediction of simulation closer to the real world scenario.
  • Machining Based on Material Removal is introduced in Visual-Weld.
  • Enhancements in Visual-Viewer with focus on CFD, CEM, SMF, VPS and handling of ERF files.
  • Visual-Systems provides Co-Simulation Simplification as well as direct import of FMU exported from ESI SimulationX.
