PAM-STAMP 2021.0 provides the following new features on top of previous versions :

  • Advanced friction models in Process Editor: Users can now enable advanced friction models in the Process Editor.
  • Ironing is now available in the Process Editor.
  • Reference part : Users can now associate to a blank a reference part that will be used for blank substitution as well as in Post, for example for geometrical distortion analysis.
  • Strategies selection in Process Editor : In Process Editor, it is now possible to select a "setup strategy" that will automatically adjust the most important simulation settings to fit to standard modeling practices. This allows quick switch between for example some feasibility settings to validation settings. Users can create their own strategies and make it as default in the Customize menu.
  • Skidlines contour : Several new contours dedicated to skidlines evaluation have been introduced to allow easy detection of this very specific kinds of cosmetic defects.
  • Strain banding resolution : Some new developments have been done in the solver to resolve the "strain banding" phenomena that was artificially created on the blank in case where a blank with fine mesh was crossing a fillet. This new ability is activated by default, but can be deactivated in the Customize menu.
  • Default master frame : The coordinate system proposed by default in many different features and dialogs is now adjusted to fit mostly, the most relevant one. This is especially remarkable in Views and Section cuts, but also in Tool Editor and various attribute dialogs.
  • Generation of blank outer skin : In POST, user can now ask for generation of the blank outer skin in just one click. Thanks to this new ability, the software will recreate a new object consisting of an offset of the real local blank thickness (computed by the solver) will be added on top of the mid-layer. With this ability, comparison between a simulation result and a scanned part will be quick, easy and very accurate.
  • Edge strain contour : The user can now display in POST, the edge strain of the blank to post-treat edge cracks.
  • Early feasibility for addendum, Wall Opening improvements, Assigned binder for Diestarter.
