Introduction

Summary

In order to achieve maximum performance of traction motors in operation, it is not only essential to define suitable design parameters such as mechanical profiles, pole combinations, number of windings, and poles during the design phase, but also the control system has a significant influence on the desired properties. To save time and costs, the goal is to find the optimal parameters with a minimum number of hardware prototypes. Automated parameter studies on a virtual prototype are a proven and efficient method to significantly reduce the number of required hardware tests. Presented at the digital conference E-MOTIVE by FVA on September 17, 2020 | www.e-motive.net.
