Get License Started
Check how you can get ESI License Toolkits and start it on your environment.
To start the following, please log in to your license server with an administrative account.
The latest version of ESI License Toolkits is v11.19.4.1 from releases in 2024. You need this latest version to work with 2024 ESI solutions.
If v11.18.2 or lower version is running on your license server, please refer Update License Toolkits and update the Toolkits to the latest version.
1. Download and Install License Toolkits
Download a FlexNet toolkit for your license server system from License Toolkits for ESI Group if you haven’t done followings.
- FlexNet License Toolkit will be installed with ESI solutions. You don’t need to re-install it after you finish software installation.
- Also, if you already installed FlexNet License Toolkit to get your system information before signing your contract to generate a license file to your machine, you don’t need to install this neither.
2. Place License File
Put your license files to ESI license directory.
If you need to run several FlexNet license daemons on your environment, you can change the port number at the end of SERVER line in your license file before you start your license server. For FlexNet, you can set 27000 – 27009 for the port number.
3. Start License Server
Start your FlexNet license server with your license file and ESI daemon on your licensed machine.
4. Define Environment Variable
Define your license with environment variable for all your ESI client users.
For all ESI client users with floating server license, define an environment variable “PAM_LMD_LICENSE_FILE=Port_Number@Server_Name” before they start ESI solutions.
A machine which is node-locked licensed, define "PAM_LMD_LICENSE_FILE = (your license directory)"
